When I was 5 my daddy took me down to
Not Easter Road, but the home of my local club Gayfield park. So began my journey following Hibs. My father followed Arbroath home and away and it was only natural that he would eventually take his sons along with him to games. This was in the 1968/69 season when they were in the old first division for the season. The first games he took me to was the visit of Hibs in November 1968 and something inside of me was fascinated by the sight of those green jerseys with white sleeves and so it began. While my brother chose to follow the other green team until recently (he now goes to watch Arbroath, apparently they are playing some decent football just now, I haven’t been inside the ground for years, there’s something about the colour they play in that puts me off.) there was only going to be one team for me and over forty years later I still get down to see them as much as I can. Over the course of that time I have seen them play on most of the Scottish clubs grounds and in Ireland, England and Latvia. This section of the site features programmes from grounds & games I have been to while the vast majority feature the Cabbage there are a few others. At the moment it is just programmes from games I have been to but future stadiums visited will have more info added to them.
